Eric earned his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications from North Central College in Naperville, IL in 1993.  After graduating from North Central College, Eric served three years active duty as an officer in the US Coast Guard where he was involved with Search and Rescue.

Upon completion of his duty with the US Coast Guard, Eric attended and then graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1999 receiving his Juris Doctor.  Eric is presently licensed to practice law in both Maryland and North Carolina.

For the last 25 years, Eric has been practicing Estate and Trust law in Annapolis, Maryland where he is an active member of the community.  Eric, and his wife,  Lisa, have been licensed foster parents in Anne Arundel County since 2010.  From 2010 to present, Eric and Lisa have provided a loving home and care for over a dozen at risk youth.  Eric and Lisa ended up adopting eight of these youth and were honored as 2013 Anne Arundel County Foster Parents of the Year.

Eric has a background as a competitive runner and has been an active board member of the Annapolis Striders and Head Cross Country Coach for Chesapeake High School from 2014 to 2016.

Professionally, Eric has been a solo practitioner since 2003 where he has assisted a full range of clients from indigent hospice patients at end of life, to multi-million dollar estates that required sophisticated estate planning.
